Moore in America

I remembering falling in love with the work of Henry Moore in college and tried in vain to mimic his style in sculpture class once, when I spent four months holed up in a studio with a chisel and a 40-pound rock. Needless to say, I made a “C” that semester. My feelings were rekindled in the early-1990s during my brief stint at MoMA, where I’d sit in the scultpture garden gazing at Moore’s reclining figures. So, naturally I was super-excited when the Atlanta Botancial Garden announced that it was bringing the largest outdoor collection of Moore’s work together in one place this summer. And the results are amazing! Highly recommended!
